Light Weight

Solid panels of Innegra S with glass fiber allow a 15 – 30% weight reduction when compared to panels made from glass fiber with the same stiffness. This is true whether the resin system you use is polyester, vinyl ester or epoxy.

Tough

At the same time, the panels have a dramatic increase in toughness, as illustrated in the photos below. In these panels, the white panels are made from all glass fiber, while the yellow panels are made from a combination of Innegra S and glass. As can be seen, the panels containing Innegra S can withstand a much greater impact without showing damage.

 

Low Cost

Compared to other materials that can be used to achieve toughness at low weight, hybrid composites containing Innegra S have a significant cost advantage.
